Medical Receptionist

Pay: $18.00/hour Location: Parma, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Duration: 3+ Month Assignment Work Setting: 100% Onsite Requirements: TB Test Required

About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a busy healthcare team in Parma. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, maintaining patient records, and supporting front desk operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer incoming calls, direct calls, and take messages
• Schedule medical, behavioral health, and dental appointments
• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and co-pays
• Maintain accurate patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems, including EPIC
• Collect co-pays, balances, and other patient payments
• Scan and upload documents into patient records
• Perform appointment reminder calls
• Assist uninsured patients with Medicaid and financial assistance applications
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Support overall clinic operations and patient flow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous healthcare, medical office, or clinical experience preferred
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably EPIC
• Insurance verification and benefits interpretation experience preferred
• Knowledge of co-pays, coverage verification, and health plans preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
