Coda Search is delighted to partner with a fast-growing software company serving distributors and manufacturers on a Director of Implementation hire. The role is based in downtown Chicago and is open to candidates in the Chicago metro area who can be on-site two days per week.

Comp : roughly around $200,000-225,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + bonus + meaningful equity package

Location : Downtown Chicago, IL (Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week)

What's in it for you?

• Report to the CEO: You'll own the implementation function and work directly with the company's top leadership on how post-sale scales.
• Build the playbook: You'll design the process for kickoff, configuration, integration, testing, and rollout, and decide how the team works.
• Hire your team: You'll lead the current implementation managers and hire carefully as the customer base grows.
• Equity upside: A meaningful equity stake in a company that is adding customers quickly and is led by operators who have scaled a company before.
• Real influence on the product: When customers keep needing the same thing, you'll push it into the platform and follow it through.

What will your day look like?

• Own implementation end to end: Run every customer from signed contract to full adoption across every branch and team, including timelines, scope, quality, and the customer experience.
• Design integrations and workflows: Oversee ERP data mapping, partner portal connections, and customer-specific configuration.
• Be the escalation point: Step into the hardest implementation problems, debug them, and tell engineering exactly what is broken.
• Fix the handoffs: Tighten coordination across implementation, engineering, integrations, customer success, and product.
• Put AI to work: Find the manual work in configuration, data mapping, testing, and documentation, and automate it so the team scales faster than headcount.
• Keep everyone informed: Make sure executive sponsors, IT teams, and site leads know where every implementation stands.
• Track what matters: Manage to time to go-live, time to full adoption, and hours per implementation.

Who are you?

• You've led implementation for complex software. You have 7+ years in implementation, implementation engineering, or technical professional services, including leading the team, on B2B software where go-lives took months.
• You still get your hands dirty. You've recently configured systems, mapped data, or debugged integrations yourself, and the hard problems come to you.
• You build process that lasts. You've created an implementation playbook that cut time to value and held up as the team grew.
• You run many projects at once. You've kept a full slate of concurrent implementations on time and at quality.
• You're a natural skeptic. When someone says an integration is done, you check it, and you share bad news early.
• Bonus points for experience with distribution ERPs such as Epicor P21, Eclipse, or Infor CloudSuite, EDI, or supply chain software for distributors and manufacturers.
